1. What are cookies
Cookies (and similar technologies like localStorage) are small pieces of data stored in your web browser by the sites you visit. They allow a website to remember information across page loads — for example, whether you've already dismissed a notice.
Cookies are generally categorised as:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function or to remember essential choices you have made
- Performance / analytics — collect anonymous data about how visitors use the site
- Functional — remember preferences (language, region) to improve your experience
- Advertising / targeting — track behaviour across sites to deliver targeted advertising
Tejomarg Foundation uses only the first category, and even then, only one item.
2. How we use them
We use a single piece of browser storage on this website. It is set only after you click "Got it" on the cookie notice, and its sole purpose is to remember that you have seen the notice so we don't show it on every page.
We do not use cookies to:
- Track you across other websites
- Build a profile of your interests or behaviour
- Identify you personally
- Deliver targeted advertising
- Share data with marketing partners
3. Inventory of what we set
The complete list of storage items the Foundation website sets in your browser:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
tm-cookie-ack |
localStorage | Remembers that you acknowledged the cookie notice, so it isn't shown again | Persistent (until you clear browser data) | Strictly necessary |
That is the entire list. We do not set any other cookies, session storage values, or fingerprinting identifiers.
4. Third-party services
Although we don't set our own tracking cookies, two third parties may set cookies when their services load on our pages:
- Google Fonts — our pages load the Inter, Manrope, and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google's CDN. Google may receive your IP address and basic browser data when a font file is requested. Google does not use this data for advertising or build a user profile from font requests.
- Formspree — when you submit the contact form on the Contact page, the form data is transmitted to Formspree, who forwards it as email. Formspree may set cookies on its own domain at the moment of submission, but it cannot read or write cookies on the Foundation's domain.
We selected these providers because their data-protection practices are documented and reasonable. We do not embed video players, social-media widgets, advertising networks, or behavioural-tracking pixels.
5. Your consent & control
Because we use no analytics or advertising cookies, there is no consent management to perform. Our single essential item is set only when you click "Got it" on the notice, and you can remove it at any time:
- In your browser settings, open Site data for tejomarg.org and clear it
- The next time you visit, the cookie notice will appear again
If you wish to block the Google Fonts request entirely, you may use a privacy extension (such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger) or your browser's "block third-party cookies" setting. The site will continue to function, falling back to system fonts.
6. Changes & contact
If our cookie usage changes — for example, if we ever introduce analytics or other technologies — we will update this page and present a fresh consent notice before activating them.
